Olivia Dar, between Paris and Delhi

Between Paris and Delhi, Olivia Dar offers a range of unique and sophisticated beaded jewellery and accessories, combining a French sensibility with Indian influences. The brand stands out through its vibrant colour palette and distinctive colour combinations.

01

A designer inspired by craftsmanship

After travelling around the world, Olivia Dar settled in India. Captivated by the diversity of craftsmanship found across its different regions, she wanted to learn everything, from gemology to embroidery. It was embroidery that captured her attention most.

She then established her own embroidery workshop in Delhi, where pieces were created for houses including Christian Lacroix and Yves Saint Laurent. Olivia Dar later launched her eponymous brand, dedicated to jewellery and accessories.

02

Colour as a signature

Olivia Dar draws her inspiration directly from her local surroundings. Colour plays a central role in the collections, with flamboyant reds, deep blues and vivid pinks forming a vibrant palette.

The colour combinations and distinctive creative details give the brand its identity. Earrings have become its signature.

03

The Delhi workshop

Nestled in the heart of Delhi’s embroiderers’ and dyers’ quarter, the workshop brings together a team of talented and passionate artisans.

Men and women combine their skills. Each piece is individually embroidered by the men on large wooden frames, using two traditional Indian techniques: Zardozi needlework and fine Aari hook embroidery.

The women bring their expertise to cutting and hand-stitched finishing.
